The Barn is conceived as a spirited retreat—playful in nature yet grounded in its rural surroundings. Set against an open landscape, the structure embraces a sense of informality, where wood-clad walls, honest materials, and relaxed furnishings create an atmosphere that feels both inviting and unfussy.

Designed as an extension of the family’s way of life on the island, the barn brings together spaces for both gathering and escape. A complete guest suite offers a private and comfortable stay, while a dedicated movie theatre invites slow evenings and shared moments. Open areas for entertaining are complemented by more playful elements - a climbing wall and ball pit - introducing a sense of whimsy that feels both unexpected and intentional.
Large openings draw in natural light and views of the surrounding fields, gently blurring the line between indoors and out. Layered with durable textures and thoughtful details, the design supports recreation, rest, and connection in equal measure—resulting in a space that feels effortless, lived-in, and quietly joyful.
